Teaching the prepositions( on, in,
under, beside, behind, in front of) to class
I through ICT( cell phone).
I am very
much convinced that integrating of ICT in our daily lesson will have immense
positive impacts in our teaching and learning processes. After reading almost
all of my friends’ blog, I understood that there are different mediums of ICT
that we can use in our daily teaching. It was wonderful experience sharing how
our friends in different corners are imparting the knowledge to our children through
ICT integration. The thank you feeling will be always there to our ICT tutor
for giving us this assignment to post in our blog.
I kept all
the feed backs in my mind that was given to me during my 1st
September post. I have collected 5 cell phones
to use in my lesson to teach prepositions for class one students. On 25th
September; 2019 during the 4th period, class I students are given
cell phone to each group. They are thoroughly briefed about the cell phone
usage. I down loaded the use of prepositions from the YouTube. I greeted to my students. I instructed them
to watch the YouTube about the prepositions. After watching the YouTube, I ask
questions to see how much they have learned about the prepositions. Students
are asked to sit in groups and discuss about each prepositions. Many enjoyed
the lesson; it was evident from their expression.
Using ICT modes like cell phone helps the teacher a
lot. It becomes more effective way of teaching because the YouTube videos show the
clear concept of preposition.
In general, the lesson went exceptionally good.
Therefore, I would use different ICT mode in the next teaching.

ReplyDeleteYou have used YouTube in your classroom teaching with the help of smart phone. Smart phone is handy where we can use everyday and it's becomes culture of citizens. We need to know how to use with proper outcomes of individual or as whole.

ReplyDeleteTeaching preposition is the best topic I liked by using ICT. This is becaubecause I observed one of the lesson of my co teacher and I found it productive using you tube. Hope it might have same impact to your children .Keep using it.

It is easy to use as well as to teach also. It does make the lesson more fun, lively and interesting for both the teacher and students.
You did a great work by teaching preposition through YouTube. However it would have been more interesting if you could have screened through LCD projector. It would have wider coverage and all the learners would have got the equal access. I recomment you to use similar tools later through LCD projector.

Providing resources and making children to find information by themselves will be of great idea la. In general, most if our friends are using ict such as like projector, laptop to give information to children. Thats good idea la. But I feel thats teacher centered use of ict. Ny perception is that, if we make them to find information by themselves it will be worth learning. That becomes student centered learning la. Thats my feeling sir.
